Hats & That

Bonjour et Bienvenue `a My Little Paris

I, am a tea drinker...........and even though I used to laugh at the whole English philosophy, of  a cup of tea solving all the world's problems.....I am a bit inclined to agree with them. I'm enjoying a cup now, while I'm talking to you. I have a favorite blend for mornings and several others that I love throughout the day. You see, making and sipping a cup of tea, slows you gives you time to relax and think........or, not think, if that's what you need. It's warm, and yet refreshing, and somehow.........comforting. You'll find a lovely selection of loose teas from Lemon Lily in the boutique......... I hope you will linger..........give them your time, and choose a very special blend of your own.

Madeline, my little French bear, is enjoying a cup of her own, and she's wearing a  fashionable hat, handmade by the very talented milliners at Lillie & Cohoe in Nelson, BC. I have always loved hats......and I'm very taken with the styles that arrived at the boutique this past week. Liz Cohoe designs a beautiful line of luxury hats, they're very well made with exceptional detail and most come in two sizes, so it's possible to find a good fit as well as a hat that enhances your natural beauty. The value of a great hat should never be dismissed, and there is a hat for everyone. The perfect hat presents an image. It can pull your outfit together and give you a certain style, it can enhance your natural colouring and bring out your eyes, cover a bad hair day, and will always protect you from that lovely Saskatchewan summer sun that we're all looking forward to.

Hats are among many things that are coming to the boutique from British Columbia. A shipment of wall art from Cedar Mountain on Salt Spring Island has also arrived, and I'm thrilled. Not that that surprises me. I have purchased many wall plaques made by the craftsmen at Cedar Mountain when I've traveled west on vacation, and that's why I've chosen to bring them to you. They have something for every decor, they can stand alone or be displayed on a wall and they're an affordable way to add something special to your own homes. Of course I've chosen some French themes, but there are many others as well, including some lovely pieces that would look perfect at the lake.

All in all, it's been a very exciting week at the boutique..........and there's so much more yet to arrive. I'll be back on Thursday........stay with me and I'll let you know what's happening next....
