Bonjour et Bienvenue `a My Little Paris
It's funny you know, I've always thought that I live a pretty ordinary life. That I'm your average woman, doing average things with my days, my house......my life.........but not long ago someone commented on my blog, or more specifically, on the picture that I post with it each week. They were impressed by the little vignettes that I stage and photograph every time I write a blog.......and, I told them, that these are just little pieces of my home. That these little vignettes are not just staged for the purpose of blogging but that they are here, in my rooms, day in, and day out. And, that they all make me feel the way I like to feel when I"m there. It's important to feel the way you want to feel, in your own home, in "your own" space.
Sometimes it's hard for us to be true to ourselves when it comes to our spaces. Life is fast, money is short, practicality takes precedence......and unfortunately, we are often left out of sync with our homes and places of work, the spaces where we spend so much of our time. Spatial image design, not to be confused with interior design, is the practice of involving the spaces where you live and work, with your heart and soul, of considering all of the senses......of creating a space that not only speaks of who you are to others, but a space that nurtures your inner spirit.
My Little Paris will be this way. When I'm there, I will feel connected to it and it will make me feel good because I'll be surrounded by the very things that speak to me, and speak of me. And when you are there, it will speak to you as well, because you'll find a little piece of my heart. I would love it if you felt comfort and inspiration there, if the very things that I've brought to you, give you that "feeling"....... and that you find a special, warm sense of belonging.
