Bonjour et Bienvenue `a My Little Paris
Oh my gosh.......such a busy time!!! The renovations are coming along really well on the store, and it's looking great. I'm so grateful to Bill, Ryan and Chris for all the hard work they've done getting it ready to go. Again, what would I do without all of this help and support.
My days have been very full, I've been collecting vintage china and furniture.........and a little silver.....I found some lovely Limoges and Nippon the other day and I'm hoping you'll love it as much as I do. There are also some pretty, vintage dishes for shabby chic place settings. Pairing them with the linens that came in last week should be such fun.
And, today was like Christmas in March........I had two shipments show up, the first was beautiful scents.......soaps, bubble baths and linen water. If you've never tried linen water you should........I love it. You just spray a little on the items you're pressing and when the hot iron touches it the scent is heavenly......and it lingers, lightly, long after you've tucked them into drawers. I never iron anything without giving it a little scent.
The second box was beautiful journals.........I do love my books, and these are just delightful........such distinctive covers, all reminiscent of another time........I have several on the go.......one, small and neat that I keep in my purse, just so I can jot things down.......one for ideas and dreams that I have for myself..........one that chronicles special times at the farm.........another where I note fun times with the grand boys, it's great to make note of funny little things that they've said...........and then look back at it a year or two later. I have another journal where I have written my family tree, I wanted it to be in something "worthy", something that would last generations, so I chose a beautiful vintage looking journal for that project. I know you'll have your own reasons, and you'll love to "journal" too.
The next few weeks will be full of surprises.......just imagine, boxes and boxes of lovely things, all making their way to my little boutique here in the Fort. I'm going to be blogging Mondays and Thursdays, so I hope you'll check in from time to time to find out "what's new" and share my joie de vivre.......
